Volunteers Wanted to Join Community Investment Panels

Students in LIVE UNITED shirtsDear United Way Supporter

On behalf of the United Way staff and Board of Directors, thank you for your generosity in donating to this year’s United Way campaign. Your contribution will make an important difference in our community, and I thank you very much for your participation.

As a donor to United Way’s community impact fund, I would like to invite you to join this year’s team of volunteers that helps us decide how we should invest those contributions to do the most good for our community.

I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors of United Way of Greater Nashua and just recently agreed to chair the next community investment process that will commence over the next few months.

Nonprofit partners throughout our community have an opportunity to submit partnership proposals that address the community’s most pressing needs. I would like to invite you to join me to serve on a donor review panel. Teams of volunteers will be formed in the areas of Health, Education and Economic Mobility. Each panel will meet approximately four times: an orientation to review the new on-line portal and our priorities for funding; two meetings with the agencies; and one wrap-up session. You will be able to access make funding recommendations via our online portal. The meetings will take place during the month of August and we are looking for approximately 25 to 30 volunteers to work with us.

If you would like to be part of this process, please click the link below to register or email liz@unitedwaynashua.org.
