This was the largest participation by any of Nashua’s Schools in 2016 annual campaign, as 26 employees participated in the in this event and almost $1,500 was raised. The winners of the Campaign Raffle won several prizes which included:  Tickets to Silver Knights, tickets to Palace Theater, La Carreta Gift Certificate, Brunch at Crowne Plaza, United Way Hats and T-shirts. Overall, the campaign for the school district increased 17% from 2015.  According to United Way President Mike Apfelberg, “We are so proud of the Bicentennial School Faculty and Staff for going above and beyond in support of their community through this year’s United Way Campaign. They led the charge in overall participation and with their inspired leadership were able to help increase contributions across the district. At a time when many programs are seeing their funding sources dry up, support from United Way is even more critical, so the commitment from these educators is truly exemplary. We are also very thankful to Superintendent Conrad and Director Hynes for their leadership on this year’s campaign. We couldn’t have done it without them.” If you would like to learn how you or your company can support the many programs of the United Way, please go to www.unitedwaynashua.org
