United Way of Greater Nashua 2019 Community Events
For one night in September, we cam together with fellow community members in learning about the level of poverty that exists and exploring pathways to success in the greater Nashua community. We learned from local experts as we participated in a unique, experience of a sleep out in a cardboard box at Nashua Community College. Together, we can make a difference preventing and eliminating homelessness in our community.

Meet… other retirees who want to volunteer
Talk… with new friends who share your interests
Learn… about how you can help
United Way of Greater Nashua’s second “Coffee and Causes” get-together for retirees was on Friday, September 27th at Nashua Public Library.
The subject for this month’s coffee was a short talk on depression – which is becoming increasingly common in our society among all ages and demographics. We heard about how you can talk to someone with depression, what some of the resources are, and how volunteers can help. Time: 9 AM- Noon
Place: Nashua Senior Center – 70 Temple Street, Nashua, NH
We prioritize keeping seniors in our community safe and smart – especially our homebound, low income seniors. This event is a great opportunity to help us make this happen.
Join us as we put together care packages for our local seniors. Each year we determine a theme for our care packages that truly aids a challenge our senior community faces, for example last year we created memory care kits.
If you are interested in donating items for our care packages, check back soon for our wish list.
